On the 29th July 2026, the Quantum Sensing Centre held its inaugural QSC Symposium. Hosted by Mr Cheng Kok Ping, Executive Director of QSC, the event was attended by QSC researchers and partners who came together to share and celebrate the remarkable research work done at the centre since its inception a year ago, deepen connections and forge new partnerships.
A series of technical talks were presented by the various principal investigators and researchers, highlighting the latest progress in the quantum sensing technology focus areas, including: (1) optically pumped magnetometers, (2) superconducting quantum interference filters (SQIF), (3) cold atom inertial sensors, (4) Rydberg atom RF sensors, (5) diamond NV centre magnetometers, (6) miniaturised photonic integrated circuits, and (7) micro-optical bench components.
The Symposium ended with a visit by all participants to the QSC labs for further in-depth discussions and engagements with the researchers at the various quantum sensing experiments.
