On 13th and 14th November, we were delighted to have the CEO and Co-founder of QZabre, Dr. Gabriel Puebla-Hellmann, conduct a workshop on Nitrogen-Vacancy magnetometry at QSC.
Over the course of two days, Dr. Gabriel dived into the principles underlying NV magnetometry, which utilizes the unique energy levels created by Nitrogen-Vacancy centers in diamond to measure magnetic fields with exceptional sensitivity and precision. Topics covered were fundamentals of NV diamond sensing; signal extraction techniques; material selection and fabrication; readout and benchmarking; and submodule engineering designs. The workshop also included a live demonstration of NV magnetometry with QZabre's educational toolkit set up on a optical breadboard.
We would like to thank Dr. Gabriel for taking his valuable time to give this highly informative workshop and also for sharing the amazing science and engineering that goes into building practical NV diamond magnetometers.
